BigFish Brand Launches Two New Smoked Products

Grimsby’s JCS Fish is taking BigFish Brand™ into new territory this spring with the launch of two exciting new smoked products.
Traditionally cured, oak smoked and hand sliced, the range includes BigFish Brand Traditional Smoked Salmon plus a unique tasting BigFish Brand Smoked Sea Trout.
Managing Director, Andrew Coulbeck says, “Our aim for BigFish Brand is ‘salmon with a twist’ – in other words interesting products with a focus on taste and accessibility. Smoked fish is a natural next step and the inclusion of Sea Trout adds something a little bit different.”

The Smoked Sea Trout it’s made with a strain of rainbow trout which is slow grown for the company at sea. This fish is from the same family as salmon and makes a fantastic smoked product, but with a uniquely delicious flavour. |
The Smoked Sea Trout product is made using a close relative of the salmon: Oncorhynchus mykiss – a strain of rainbow trout that is slow grown at sea. This gives the fish a clean, marine flavour and firm flesh that is ideal for cold smoking.
BigFish Brand is the simplest way to enjoy more nutritious fish in your diet, any day of the week. From individually wrapped and flavoured salmon fillets that cook straight from frozen in just a few minutes to its delicious smoked Sea Trout, with BigFish Brand there's no fuss, no mess - just great tasting fish, every time.

All BigFish Brand's fish arrive fresh at the company's factory on Grimsby docks within just a few hours of harvest. Then the fish is cut and prepared, flavour is added (depending on the product) and packaged and frozen within an hour, preserving all the fish's natural freshness and nutritional value.
JCS Fish plans to release further BigFish Brand's products during 2017.
