If we make a bit of history, we have to say that Armadora Pereira was founded by José Pereira Álvarez, who started his activity in the world of fishing in the middle of s. XX.
You have to go back many years to talk about the family origin of the company and those first crafts, which worked mainly in the North Atlantic, in the area known as Gran Sol.
In a second stage, the qualitative jump took place, passing to medium-sized vessels and with the innovation of freezing on board, which facilitated the conservation and considerably improved the quality of the products. Mainly this second segment of ships worked in the fishing grounds of Morocco and Mauritania.
In a third stage there is a complete renewal of the fleet, adapting it to the new fisheries and fishing grounds. It incorporates modern technologies mainly electronic and computer applied to the fishing field, to meet the new demands of the markets. A commercial division is also created, with its own distribution network, network of direct sales stores, ... as well as different infrastructures for the elaboration and transformation of fishery products.
Today, when the fleet has grown and crosses the seas of the world, the same spirit of dedication prevails, with a philosophy common to a development that observes as a priority respect for the sea.
