Tailor-Made Seafood Solutions

  (LITHUANIA, 1/17/2010)

Since 1992 the Lithuanian company Viciunai has been engaged in the trade and distribution of an extended range of high-quality value added seafood products.

Under the Vici brand, the company offers a whole line of surimi products like sticks, chunks, breaded surimi in chilled and frozen condition. Breaded fish, like fish fingers and fishburgers; seafood salads, salmon and a range of products in brine are also part of the Vici’s brand. Under the Esva brand, Viciunai produces an extensive range of surimi products, breaded fish and fish fillet portions.

Viciunai offers tailor-made solutions according to the customer needs, which can be packed under any private label. In its own graphic department, the company creates and designs attractive packaging for an effective marketing of the product. The company can also supply full information regarding the traceability of its products.

Today, the group has four production sites, all equipped with state-of-the-art machinery and HACCP (Hazard Analysis Critical Control Point System) certified. In 2003 Viciunai set up a completely new plant, Viciunai ir Partneriai, for the production of marinated and smoked herring. Viciunai has earned Marine Stewardship Council’s (MSC) chain-of-custody certification for its Estonia-based processing plant.

Viciunai has sales offices all over Europe, each office being responsible for a certain geographic area, therefore providing great flexibility to its customers.

The Viciunai Group has its own transport department with over 300 vehicles, of which 40 are full length reefer and bi-temperature trucks, enabling to transport chilled and frozen product at the same time. All trucks have EURO 3 certificates.

The group also trades frozen goods in the Baltic States.  Important customers are the supermarket chains VP Market and IKI. In 2002, the group started off as an official dealer for Peugeot and Yamaha in Lithuania.
