Eastern Fisheries opens new factory in Zhuanghe

Eastern Fisheries Inc has announced the opening of a second factory in China for its wholly owned subsidiary Dalian Far Eastern Shores Inc Seafood, LLC. The new plant will allegedly increase Eastern’s sole and flounder production so it can meet mounting consumer demand and escalating flatfish consumption.
Dalian Far Eastern will manage the new factory as well as Eastern’s existing plant in Zhuanghe, China. Both facilities be will offering custom filleting, block and IQF freezing and vacuum pack capabilities.
In China, with Dalian Far Eastern oversees flatfish filleting and freezing, and in the US Eastern Fisheries distributes finished products domestically and to foreign countries. The first 40,000-sq.-ft. plant processes approximately 60,000 lbs of flatfish daily.
Both China factories process the wild-caught Alaska flatfish species yellowfin sole, rock sole, flathead sole and Alaska plaice. The fish’s natural fillets are available skinless, boneless or skin-on and can be individually or block frozen in many size options.
Recently, the flatfish programme has expanded to include the fish in the form of breaded fillets, battered strips and 3-8 oz-plaice loins.
Eastern Fisheries touts itself as the largest scallop company in the world, with abundant resources and powerful economic abilities. For the only branch of Eastern Fisheries in China, Dalian Far Eastern is located in the largest scallop breeding base: Dalian.
Eastern Fisheries presently focuses on selling the scallop adductor imported from its mother company in the US, and processing Alaskan fish fillets of yellow fin sole, Pacific cod, pollock, rock sole, flathead sole, breaded flounder and others.
All the company’s products have passed the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) and all HACCP guidelines have been met or exceeded.
The firm is also the exclusive producer of the Red Ship Brand trademarked in the US, China mainland and Hong Kong. It is the most popular brand in China.
Meanwhile, its new brand--Far Eastern--will soon be launched.
