The expanded 2026 program introduces a dual-track strategy designed to cover the full spectrum of the modern seafood industry
IceFish Conference Hits Milestone: Program Set to Double in 2026
(ICELAND, 1/9/2026)
New Aquaculture Tracks and "100% Fish" Initiatives Lead the Expanded 2026 Schedule
The Icelandic Fisheries & Aquaculture Exhibition & Conference (IceFish) has announced a massive expansion for its 2026 season. Reflecting the rapid evolution of the blue economy, the popular conference program will achieve 100% growth, doubling in size to accommodate new sectors and international demand.
For the first time, the expanded program will be co-located with the main exhibition at the Fifan-Smárinn Halls in Kópavogur, providing a seamless experience for industry professionals.

Two Specialized Tracks: Innovation and Sustainability
The expanded 2026 program introduces a dual-track strategy designed to cover the full spectrum of the modern seafood industry:
-
Aquaculture – Driving Sustainable Growth: A brand-new event debuting on Day 1. This conference will assemble Iceland’s leading operators, innovators, and policymakers to discuss sustainable production and global market strategies.
-
100% Fish for Profit: Formerly known as Fish Waste for Profit, this reimagined event returns with a packed one-and-a-half-day program across Day 2 and Day 3.
Strategic Partnerships and Focus
The conference organizers will once again collaborate closely with the Icelandic Ocean Cluster to curate content and lead chairing duties.
The 100% Fish for Profit segment remains a cornerstone of the event, focusing on the economic potential of "circular" fishing—transforming every part of a catch into high-value products. This track is a magnet for CEOs, owners, and leaders from the fishing, aquaculture, and processing sectors.

-
Networking: Connecting supply-chain partners with key stakeholders.
-
Strategic Growth: Providing insights into the rapidly developing aquaculture sector.
