NASF 2014 Reprises Highly Acclaimed Seminar

This year’s main theme will be “Key drivers for sustainable growth”. The 4th NASF European Retail Seminar will take place on March 5th.

Chaired once again by Young’s popular CEO, Leendert van Hollender and retail expert Jonathan Banks, leading retailers from the UK, Germany, Sweden, and Belgium, together with the UK’s leading food service company, will discuss the outlook for retail and food service markets.

This not-to-be missed seminar gives you the opportunity to hear from some of Europe’s top operators about their businesses - and what it means for you.

Successful businesses focus on the consumer to add value, increase financial sustainability, and grow market share. The growth of the modern grocery retail chains means that to get to your consumers you go through fewer, more powerful groups that have an increasingly sophisticated and in-depth understanding of their customers’ needs. The stresses and strains in the consumer market will be examined.

What must the industry do to meet shoppers’ requirements better, so that seafood profitably optimises its share of the total protein market?

Fish has a key role to play as part of a healthy diet providing category growth opportunities by encouraging more people to eat fish, and to eat it more frequently. Together with the growing population, this puts even more importance on sustainable sourcing and responsible management in what is a truly global food supply chain.
