Okhotsk and Bering Sea Catches

Sea of Okhotsk (pollock)

According to OSM data in the Sea of Okhotsk, the catch of pollock (industrial and coastal fisheries) as of 03/10/2024 produced 521,602 tons, including Kamchatka users caught 221,679 tons (week +31,760 tons), development - 60.2% of the quota 368 224 tons; compared to 2023 indicators -8,489 tons less (in 2023, the catch was 230,168 tons), including:
- in the North Sea of Okhotsk subzone, the total catch amounted to 172,501 tons, incl. Kamchatka - 61,486 tons;
- 173,440 tons were produced in the Western Kamchatka subzone, Kamchatka - 59,952 tons;
- 166,909 tons were produced in Kamchatka-Kuril, Kamchatka 100,241 tons;
- 8,752 tons were produced in the East Sakhalin subzone; Kamchatka users did not fish.

Sea of Okhotsk (Pacific herring)
The harvest (catch) of Pacific herring in the North Sea of Okhotsk was carried out by 13 vessels, mastering the quotas of 5 users, the catch amounted to 36,832 tons, compared to the 2023 indicators - more by +26,623 tons (in 2023, the catch was 10,209 tons). In the Western Kamchatka subzone, herring fishing was not carried out (seasonal ban).
Sea of Okhotsk (cod)
In the Sea of Okhotsk (West Kamchatka and Kamchatka-Kuril subzones), since the beginning of the year, 31 vessels have been fishing for cod, catching quotas from 11 users of the Kamchatka Territory; year catch – 3,545 tons).

Bering Sea and Eastern Kamchatka (Pollock)
Since the beginning of the year, 13 vessels have operated in the West Bering Sea zone with a quota of 2 users, the catch amounted to 12,573 tons (in 2023, the catch was 21,788 tons).
In the Karaginskaya subzone, 26 vessels operated under a quota of 6 users, the catch was 13,435 tons (in 2023, the catch was 5,438 tons).

In the Petropavlovsko-Komandorsky subzone, 57 vessels operated under quotas of 28 users, the catch amounted to 30,125 tons (in 2023, the catch was 20,790 tons).
Karaginsk subzone (Pacific herring)
Herring fishing was carried out by 10 vessels under quotas of 4 users, the catch amounted to 5,845 tons (in 2023, the catch was 3,436 tons).
Bering Sea and Eastern Kamchatka (Cod)
In the West Bering Sea zone, 12 vessels operated under the 1st user quota, the catch amounted to 2,300 tons (in 2023, the catch was 2,475 tons). In the Karaginskaya subzone, 27 vessels operated under quotas of 5 users, the catch amounted to 1,285 tons (in 2023, the catch was 2,653 tons). In the Petropavlovsko-Komandorsky subzone, 55 vessels operated under quotas of 22 users, the catch was 6,988 tons (in 2023, the catch was 5,358 tons).
