Live Seafood Container is an innovative way of transporting live seafood.

An Innovative and Safe Way for Transporting Live Seafood

  (NORWAY, 12/9/2013)

Liveseafood has developed a container with innovative technology that makes it possible to transport live seafood for a maximum of ten days.

Liveseafood's technology is patented, tested and optimized to maintain the cargo in premium quality. The water is treated continuously and controlled with parameters like CO2, NH, pH and O2.

A water tank and other necessary components are built into a standard 20″ ISO container with forklift pockets and corner fittings, making it both cost efficient and applicable to transport means such as container ships, railroad cars and trucks.

Liveseafood Container is the perfect solution for the transportation of live seafood.

Inside the container there is a cooling unit, technical unit, power unit, oxygen tank and a water tank with 20000 litres of water and 4 ton of seafood.

The container runs either from a power source connection or it's own diesel aggregate and all parameters are fully controlled and documented during transport.

The container has a hydraulic system which pushes the tank out when it is filled, providing access to the hatch at the top. The container is emptied either by a valve at the bottom of the tank or at the top.

A water tank and other necessary components are built into a standard 20″ container. The container can be transported by truck, train or boat.

Due to the computerized cooling/heating system, it is easy to change the temperature in the water tank, making it possible in a simple manner to carry different types of seafood in the same container. The cooling/heating system provides temperature control of 20 000 litres of water between 20 and 2 degrees Celsius. The power unit delivers 28kw of power for 10 days without refuelling.

The transportation can last up to 10 days with little or no mortality.

To ensure a satisfactory water quality, the water is filtered adding a substance to bind the waste material in the water. The water quality is continuously monitored by electronic sensors with alarms systems attached. All measurements are logged and can be provided live to an independent PC GPS tracking.

The Liveseafood container is easy to maintain as it has three independent units: the container itself, the technical unit and the water tank.

All of central Europe can be reached whilst the cargo holds premium quality. The density can be doubled when transporting seafood cargo other than fish.
