Steriflow Thermal Processing
(FRANCE, 7/13/2012)
Steriflow is a company with over 35 years experience entirely dedicated to the design and the manufacturing of autoclaves.
Preserved fish products are a historical application for Steriflow autoclave. Whatever the package, the high performance of the Steriflow guarantees that your fish products will be processed at the correct temperature with the adequate time.
Steriflow offers different autoclave system types: Static, Rotary, Dali and the new revolutionary Shaka sytem just arriving on the market.

| Saupiquet, part of the Bolton Group, has been using Steriflow in their factories in France for sardine and tuna products |
With this latest technology, during treatment, containers are shaken at a frequency of 100 to 150 cycles per minute, allowing for accelerated thermal transfer. This speed also has the benefit of giving products vastly improved organoleptic and nutritional quality.
Current thermal process design and manufacturing possibilities include cascading (Steriflow), Steam/Air (Monofan), Immersion, and Pure Steam.
The electronic control system is automated, independent and repeatable thanks to the existing MPI range. The process monitoring system allows for sterilization data traceability, batch data archiving and enables launching pasteurization or sterilization cycles remotely or not, and at a pre-configured rate.
Steriflow autoclaves can adapt to small and medium production units as well as to very large processing factories. More than 3000 retorts have been sold in 110 countries.

| In a Steriflow Rotary, the baskets are turning under the flow of water, therefore heat transfer is accelerated inside the packing and treatment time is reduced; there is no overcooking, product treatment is homogeneous giving as a result better product quality |
Faerch Plast from Denmark recently introduced a revolutionary plastic package in CPET material. It is designed to resist at very high temperatures (200°C) and tests have been positively conducted since 2007. Steriflow’s Danish customer Larsen Danish Seafood selected this package for their Fish paste with individual portion.
As for the sterilization process, this type of package requires a very accurate control of counter pressure, which is the strong point of the Steriflow cascading water sterilizer.
About Steriflow SAS
 |
| Steriflow has 15 engineers for designing and developing, particularly with Solidworks workstations |
In 1974, a team of three engineers patents the Steriflow concept. This includes the cascading process (or superheated steaming system), a platular exchanger from Barriquand Echangeurs and stainless steel for autoclave. A manufacturing shop is built at Barriquand in Roanne, France. Very rapidly in 1976, export sales started with Greece, Sweden, Germany and Holland.
Sterilflow is now present in the 5 continents, and 110 countries. Major markets include Australia, Benelux, China, France, Germany,Mexico, Morocco, Norway, United Kingdom.
Steriflow commercial offices are based in Paris and its manufacturing and Head office are based in Roanne - between Lyon and Clermont-Ferrand.
