Three Generations Consolidate the Moscuzza Group (1922-2011)

The Moscuzza Group, one of the traditional pioneers in the industrial fishing sector in Argentina, develops all of its capture, processing, industrialization, commercialization and distribution process, both for fresh and frozen seafood.

From the main fishing port of Mar del Plata, Argentina, the Group Moscuzza, processes over 50,000 tonnes of raw materials of the highest quality, destined to meet the needs of the most demanding markets in the world, as well as the domestic market. The Group employs permanently over 700 people.

The Moscuzza Group has a modern fleet which includes 5 trawler freezer vessels with a hold capacity of 3,000 tons of frozen products by fishing tide, 6 fresh fish safe deep-sea fishing vessels, of which 2 are beam trawlers freezer, with a hold capacity equivalent to 750 tons by fishing tide, 2 jigger freezer vessels with a capacity of 1,700 tons of squid by fishing tide. The extraction is supported by the company's own repair and maintenance workshops, and procurement of food for the personnel on board.

Mascuzza follows the requirements of the European Union, the United States, South America and Asia, holding the relevant certifications

The Moscuzza Group devotes a large part of its productive structure to the capture and processing of Hubbsi Hake, participating in the Argentinian fishery with one of the largest shares in the ranking of fishing companies of this species. As well, the extraction and processing of a wide range of species and products according to current demand. The Group also process and commercialize a wide range of products to meet the current trends and demand.

The Group has two processing plants and cold store facilities with a processing capacity of over 100 tons a day, a storage capacity of 9,000 tons and ice production of 150 tons per day.
