THAIFEX - ANUGA ASIA 2025 Drives Global Food & Beverage Dealmaking in Bangkok

  (THAILAND, 6/9/2025)

Asia's largest F&B trade event concludes with robust international participation, attracting nearly 90,000 visitors and fostering significant business agreements, new product debuts, and strategic industry connections.

BANGKOK – THAIFEX - ANUGA ASIA 2025, Asia’s premier international food and beverage trade event, wrapped up last week in Bangkok, underscoring its standing as a critical hub for global F&B commerce and innovation. The event drew 88,349 unique trade visitors, industry leaders, and executives from 143 countries, facilitating discussions on future food trends and unlocking new business opportunities across regions.

Co-organized by the Department of International Trade Promotion (DITP) of Thailand's Ministry of Commerce, the Thai Chamber of Commerce (TCC), and Koelnmesse, the 2025 edition saw expanded international representation. The event hosted 3,231 exhibitors from over 57 countries, with more than two-thirds of participants hailing from abroad.

"THAIFEX - ANUGA ASIA has solidified its position as the top F&B show in Asia, reaffirming our role as a regional leader and global strategic hub," stated Mathias Kuepper, Managing Director and VP Asia-Pacific, Koelnmesse. He added that significant interest for next year's event is already evident, with new applications and repeat exhibitors keen to continue expanding their networks.

Soaring Global Participation and Concrete Business Outcomes

This year's event marked first-time participation from 10 new markets spanning Central Asia, Africa, and Eastern Europe, including companies like Monte Rosso from Slovenia and Lindo Confectionery from Uzbekistan. Additionally, new national pavilions from Australia, Hong Kong, and the Netherlands expanded the event's global sourcing footprint.

Exhibitors reported strong business outcomes directly from the show floor:

  • Empresas Aquachile S.A., represented by Sales Manager Daniel Ramos, conducted over 100 meetings, securing US$1 million in new deals with markets in Southeast Asia, Bangladesh, Australia, India, and Israel.
  • Nam Viet Foods & Beverage JSC clinched orders valued at US$500,000 from 8 new customers across West Africa, Europe, and the USA, with Sales Director Steve Pham anticipating more deals post-show.
  • WTS Trade experienced unexpected interest in its Brazilian protein range (fish, pork, beef). Antonio Carlos di Gaspero, Accounts Director, reported six solid connections, including a confirmed US$45,000 deal with a major supermarket chain in Thailand.

Further boosting dealmaking was the Trade Mission and Hosted Buyers program, which connected over 2,117 industry leaders and decision-makers from more than 40 countries, many participating for the first time from regions like Indochina.

Anni Brownjohn, Founder Managing Director of Ozganics Australia, a first-time exhibitor, praised the event's ability to connect them with partners aligned with core values of sustainability and organic food.

Innovation at the Forefront and Nurturing Future Talent

THAIFEX - ANUGA ASIA served as a prime launchpad for new products. Morning Arch's Sales & Marketing Director, Kelly Eng, chose the event to debut their high-protein noodles, Pro+inMee. "It's the ideal platform to connect with buyers who are actively looking for functional, health-forward innovations," Eng noted, highlighting strong interest and a major deal with a top German company, alongside a tasteInnovation Award.

The "Future Food Experience+" program reinforced the event's focus on industry advancements, featuring 74 speakers in 27 sessions, attended by 4,966 unique participants. Topics covered nutrition advancements, sustainable processing, deep tech innovations, and F&B trends. Dr. Asli Zulig, Founder & CEO of Pacha, found the program invaluable for gaining insights into market studies based on consumer feedback.

Beyond business, THAIFEX - ANUGA ASIA also fosters culinary talent. The 11th Thailand Ultimate Chef Challenge (TUCC), endorsed by the World Association of Chefs’ Societies (WACS), saw 452 professional and rising talents compete, with opportunities for WACS certification. Natthapol Khunyodying, a multiple award winner from the Chiang Mai Chefs Association, emphasized the personal and professional growth gained through the competition.

THAIFEX - ANUGA ASIA is slated to return from May 26 - 30, 2026, promising an even larger event with an additional hall dedicated to commercially viable innovations, underscoring its commitment to shaping the future of F&B growth in Asia.
