Established in 1991, Viciunai Group is one of the largest and economically powerful producers of crab taste sticks, surimi products and fish in Europe.

The company’s a portfolio of more than 3 thousand products are marketed under the VIČI, Esva, Columbus brands and other trademarks.

Viciunai Group produces annually over 120 thousand tons of food products, from which more than 85 percent are exported.

The company Plunges Kooperatine Prekyba UAB was established in 1994 in Plunge, Lithuania and employs 1300 people. Plunges Kooperatine Prekyba UAB main activity is the production and sales of food products from surimi (crab sticks, crab meat, bites, chunks, crab claws, etc.).

Viciunai ir Partneriai UAB was established in 2002 in Plungė, Lithuania and employs 540 people. Viciunai ir Partneriai UAB is one of the largest and most up-to-date fish product processing companies in the country. The company’s products can be found in the shelves of the largest European retailers.

Viciunai exports to over 40 countries

The company produces salmon products, gourmet seafood, fresh fish, frozen fish, salted fish, hot smoked fish, cold smoked fish, matured, brined herring fillet products, culinary products (salads with products from surimi and with fish), meat and potato salads, products from surimi in oil, offering to the market an assortment exceeding 1000 items.

Vichiunai-RUS OOO was established in 2002 in Sovetsk, Russia, employing 1500 people. Vichiunai-RUS OOO is one of the largest manufacturers of surimi products in the world, which are sold in the Russian Federation, Ukraine, Belorussia, Kazakhstan, Moldova, and other countries.

Vichiunai-RUS OOO activity is divided into manufacture of surimi products: crab sticks, crab meat, noodles, surimi shrimps, crab claws, crab sausage, and other products; manufacture of shrimp: cooked and cleaned shrimp; manufacture of fish products and seafood: herring (smoked, brined) and its products, salt, smoked, frozen fish, seafood in brine, oil, salads, etc. and, manufacture of fish culinary products: fish fingers, fish burgers. The portfolio of products manufactured by the company consists of more than 1500 items.

The company Paljassaare Kalatoostus AS was acquired in 2001 in Tallinn, Estonia, employing 200 people. Paljassaare Kalatoostus AS are one of the leading food industry companies in Estonia.

Vichiunai-RUS OOO is one of the largest manufacturers of surimi products in the world

The core activity of the company is the manufacture of frozen, breaded fish products (fish fingers, burgers, breaded vegetables), frozen pizzas and frozen crepes. 90 percent of the company’s production is exported to over 40 countries in Europe, Near East, Asia, and North Africa.

In 2010 Viciunai aquired Sistemas Britor S.L.U. located in Santander, Cantabria, Spain and employs 121 people. The main activity of the company is the manufacturing of crab sticks and other products from surimi. The company’s production is sold by the distribution company “VG Iberia”. The manufactured production with VIČI trademark is marketed in Spain, Portugal, and Italy.

The company Plunges Duona UAB was acquired in 1997 in Plungė, Lithuania and its main activity is bread baking. The company employs 170 people.

The company’s exports are organised into five regions: the Baltic States, West and Central Europe, Scandinavia, East Europe and Asia. Viciunai Group sales are 85 percent exported.

The group’s marketing and distribution divisions represent international brands such as Hortex, McCain, Nestle, Dujardin.

The company is present in most major foodservice companies across Europe.  The Viciunai Group has a unique and diverse business portfolio including: a bread bakery, a restaurant chain, automobile showrooms and services and, a well-developed logistics sector.
