Cool Logistics Asia and Seafood Expo Asia Create Perishable Logistics Week

  (HONG KONG, 8/11/2016)

The organisers of Cool Logistics Asia congress and Seafood Expo Asia team up to provide their logistics customers with more business development opportunities at their forthcoming events in Hong Kong.

The 2nd Cool Logistics Asia congress (co-located with Asia Fruit Logistica at the AsiaWorld-Expo) and 7th Seafood Expo Asia (organised by Diversified Communications at the Hong Kong Convention & Exhibition Centre in Wanchai) take place in the week of 6-9 September 2016 in Hong Kong. Both events attract global logistics operators keen to tap into Asia’s leading market for perishable product logistics including seafood and fresh produce.

Cool Logistics Conferences have become an internationally recognized platform for connecting perishable logistics and cold chain experts with producers and shippers of commodities that require temperature control.

Logistics customers and exhibitors of both shows have the opportunity to meet face-to-face with their clients who control significant perishable accounts across the entire (cold) chain from producer to the end consumer.

“Cool Logistics Asia has become the new focal point for global logistics operators ready to tap into Asia’s leading market for perishable products covering fruit and vegetables, flowers, meat, chocolate and of course also seafood,’’ says Alex von Stempel, Managing Director, Cool Logistics Resources.

Cool Logistics Asia 2016 will also partially coincide with the Seafood Asia Exhibition.

“Working together with Seafood Expo Asia will enhance the value of a Cool Logistics Asia participation,” he adds.

“Seafood Expo Asia is an essential asset for seafood businesses looking to capitalize on Asia’s growing seafood consumption and lucrative markets,” says Terri Tsang, Show Director of Seafood Expo Asia. “By bringing together top international seafood suppliers, buyers and experts, companies that partake in the event have the tools and opportunities they need to make substantial growth. Being able to work with Cool Logistics Asia allows us to offer yet another opportunity for companies to innovate and expand their businesses even more—further making Seafood Expo Asia’s myriad of business building opportunities second to none.”

Seafood Expo Asia attracts more than 8,700 industry professionals from all over the world to create a diverse, international marketplace for those who participate, with visitors from 62 countries and exhibitors from 32 countries including 13 country pavilions.

Visitors travel from across the world to attend Seafood Expo Asia.

“The exposition offers a comprehensive event program designed to enhance attendees’ experience and business growth in the Asian market,” adds Terri Tsang. The three-day event program includes networking opportunities, master class presentations, sessions and panel discussions on timely topics presented by industry experts, such as ecommerce and sustainability.

One brand new topic includes a study on the impact of new widened Panama Canal as well as the Suez Canal on perishable trade flows now lapping the shores of Asia. Fresh produce trade flows originating from various Latin American countries as well as Europe are bound to affect intercontinental shipping schedules.

Seafood Expo Asia is designed for seafood professionals, including buyers and chefs, looking for new suppliers, products, or trends.

About Seafood Expo Asia

Seafood Expo Asia is a trade event where buyers and suppliers of seafood from around the world come together to network and conduct business in the lucrative Hong Kong and Asia Pacific markets. The event’s seventh edition takes place from the 6-8 September 2016 at the Hong Kong Convention & Exhibition Centre in Wanchai, Hong Kong.

About Cool Logistics Asia Conference

Cool Logistics Conferences have become an internationally recognized platform for connecting perishable logistics and cold chain experts with producers and shippers of commodities that require temperature control.

Cool Logistics Asia is designed as a conference with a continental reach in Asia to complement Cool Logistics Global in Europe and other regional events such as Cool Logistics Africa and Cool Logistics Americas. Co-located with the Asia Fruit Logistica, the second edition of Cool Logistics Asia will revisit perishable trade and cold chain developments in Asia. Cool Logistics Asia offers sponsor opportunities that allow one-to-one access to key decision makers before, during and after the event.

All parties involved in the perishable value chain will benefit from the chance to learn, discuss and build relations with customers, suppliers, peers and experts ‘from farm to fork’.
