Coast Seafood AS is active in more than 40 markets located mainly in Europe, North America and the Far East, being the Russian Federation one of the main markets for salmon and trout. In 2009, Coast Seafood revenues totalled NOK 2.6 billion, which made up 8 percent of all Norwegian farmed fish. The company has branch offices in Bergen, Norway, in Boston, United States and in Sydney, Australia.

The company operates and owns two state of the art processing facilities - one for the processing and smokehouse for Salmon and Trout, and the other for the processing of pelagic fish which is MSC certified

Through the company headquarters and its branch offices, Coast Seafood is sourced globally with farmed fish from the main regional producers. The company operates and owns two state of the art processing facilities - one for the processing and smokehouse for Salmon and Trout, and the other for the processing of pelagic fish which is MSC (Marine Stewardship Council) certified.

Coast Seafood is management owned and controlled, but Norwegian Atlantic Salmon and Fjord Trout farmers have a 9 percent stake in the company.

Coast guarantees freshness and traceability of raw materials

Coast Seafood AS and Sotra Fiskeindustri AS have for years been a close collaboration on packaging and processing of fresh / frozen salmon and trout products. In practice, it sells Coast Seafood AS production (Coast Sotrafish AS) to Sotra Fiskeindustri AS. In addition, Sotra Fiskeindustri AS completed a private placement to Coast Seafood AS as a strategic shareholder. Coast Seafood AS owns 23 percent of Sotra Fiskeindustri AS.

Following the merger and the rebuilding, Sotra Fiskeindustri AS emerges as one of the most complete production facilities for salmon and trout with a significantly increased capacity of fillet and smoking production.
