Important Spanish participation in the European Seafood Exposition

More than 100 Spanish companies and institutions are gathering between 3 and 5 May at the 19th European Seafood Exposition (ESE) and 13th Seafood Processing Europe, which is bringing together more than 1,600 companies from over 140 countries.
Among the institutions, the FROM General Secretariat of the Ministry of Environment and Rural and Marine Affairs, the Chamber of Commerce of Vigo, the Fishery Department of the Canarian government, the Ministry of Agriculture and Fishery from Andalucía, the Department of Agriculture, Food and Rural Activities of the government of the Generalilat of Catalunya, the Food Quality Office of the Government of Cantabria and the Department of Fisheries and Marine Affairs of the Xunta of Galicia will be present.
Other small businesses will be represented in the main associations that are going to be present, as it is the case with the canners associated to Anfaco, the Aquaculture Association of Marina from Andalucía (ASEMA), the Fishermen's Association of San Pedro, the Federation of Fish Traders of Euskadi (Fecope), the Galician Federation of Fishermen and the Producers Organisation of clams and of others.
Some Spanish companies have already announced their news for this Fair, as is the case of Marfrio, which is introducing its recent addition of clean Patagonian squid. This product was developed with the intention of making housewives’ job easier.
Congalsa also announced that they are presenting new additions to the production line, such as breaded mussels without preservatives or artificial coloring, breaded tuna in pieces and stuffed mussels, ideal for snacks.
The Organization of marine pisciculture of Andalucía is introducing its new advertising campaign 'Estuary Fish' to promote a quality brand in which a sustainable environmentally-friendly production system is assured.
In the last edition of 2010, this event attracted over 24,000 attendees and 1,600 companies.
