ARVI denies information about the incident of the Villa Nores fishing boat

ARVI considers the news that appeared today about the ship "VILLA NORES" to be extremely serious, disseminated without verification and that generate alarm, also assuming an unjustified discredit action of our associate.
 rom the Cooperative of Fishing Shipowners of the Port of Vigo (ARVI) we wish to convey our disapproval of the publication of unverified news, such as the one that since yesterday affects our associated ship, "VILLA NORES".
It is completely irresponsible that an incident that does not pose any problem in the performance of a normal activity for a freezer fishing vessel, as is the case of the "VILLA NORES" that concerns us here (as our associate has informed us, it is a rupture of a connection tube of a washing machine), and that is magnified for reasons that we do not know but that concern us, will set off a non-essential alarm at the national level. We are especially concerned about the relatives of the crew members who, upon receiving biased and unverified information, obviously become uneasy for no reason.

The owner company of the ship "VILLA NORES" tells us that the failure of the washing machine was perfectly resolved by its crew, as is usually done with any incident that may arise in periods of several weeks that our freezer ships will improve on the high seas.
Lastly, we would like to point out that, as an organization, we find it alarming that non-essential smear campaigns can take place in a sector that generates a fundamental level of employment in our Autonomous Community, and more so in the Vigo and Marín area, in addition to contribute to the food sovereignty of our market, by supplying it with a product of the highest quality, sustainability and low ecological impact.
