Nordic Seafood has always been in the forefront of the sustainable seafood sector.

GSSI Welomes Nordic Seafood as a Funding Partner

  (DENMARK, 11/1/2018)

The Global Sustainable Seafood Initiative has announced that Nordic Seafood has joined the GSSI Global Partnership as a Funding Partner. Nordic Seafood is the first Danish company to join the GSSI Global Partnership, strengthening GSSI’s presence in the Nordic region.
Nordic Seafood was founded in 1988 in the Danish fishing port of Hirtshals.

"Nordic Seafood is happy to join the Global Sustainable Seafood Initiative in promoting sustainable seafood.  By benchmarking standards, the certification jungle is made more transparent", said Anders Hviid Jensen, CSR Manager, Nordic Seafood.

"Transparency is vital to future progress in sustainable fishing and aquaculture.  Nordic Seafood has always been in the forefront of the sustainable seafood sector and we are looking forward to our cooperation with GSSI.” said Anders Hviid Jensen.

Nordic Seafood is one of Europe’s leading distributors of frozen top quality fish and shellfish.

Every single day fresh and frozen fish and shellfish arrives from all over the world at Nordic Seafood’s modern production facilities in Hirtshals. Nordic Seafood carries a stock ranging across more than 1,000 varieties of products and the company's close contact with NISSUI ensure full vertical integration in quality control and product flow from catch to the customer. In the vertical production process, safety along the whole line from catch to delivery is ensured by Nordic Seafood’s own control measures. Nordic Seafood's quality control department checks the in-coming supplies as well as its own production before distributing products throughout Europe.

Nordic Seafood's innovative and wide range of products brings seafood to your plate.
