Media Indirectly Recognizes FIS's Global Leadership

Just over a week ago Undercurrent News announced: "Advertisers take note: We are the fastest-growing website for the seafood industry with double and triple the traffic of our closest Competitors".
The information, which included graphics, was taken from the website SimilarWeb, and compares SeafoodSource, Intrafish and Undercurrent News.
These comparative graphs did not include Fish Information and Services (FIS), although for more than 19 years ago, we continue to be the website for the fishing industry with the most traffic worldwide.
FIS model differs from the other media in several ways:
1-FIS was born in 1995 using solely the Internet and is not an adaptation of a traditional graphic media to a digital version.
2-FIS has prioritized a greater amount of global information at the expense of extensive specific articles.
3-FIS has the largest database of companies and individuals, which is the reason why a portion of its traffic is generated by search engine specific queries.
In any case, one of the problems experienced by the sector over the years is that there is a significant fragmentation in local and international media. This makes it difficult for advertisers to decide where to apply their budget.
In another part of its statement, Undercurrent News says "For seafood industry advertisers from around the world, there is no better way to spread the word than using Undercurrent News."
FIS understands that would be good for all, leading media and advertisers, if in the future a unique leader emerges and groups together the main companies, with the aim of improving content and search results and, unifying advertising options as well. There is an old proverb that says, "There is strength in numbers" and if you look around it is easy to see that Google is the main search engine, YouTube is the site for videos, Facebook is used for social media and Amazon has become a large shopping mall.
We would like to congratulate Undercurrent News on its fast growth and also the other media referred to in the announcement on working strenuously to ensure that all companies involved in the fisheries and aquaculture sector value the use of the Internet, not only for getting information, but also for showcasing and advertising themselves.
