Vega Salmon is a primary and secondary salmon processing facility as well as processing other top quality fish products.

The people behind Vega Salmon have more than 50 years combined experience in the salmon industry. This is why Vega Salmon keeps the best of the old traditions with an innovative approach that is proving to be very successful.

The company's new flagship factory in Flensburg, Germany was completed in September 2012. Employing over 200 qualified staff on average and servicing major European retailers, wholesalers, food service and industry companies as well as customers in overseas markets.

Vega Salmon uses dry salting and injection salting in it's production proccess.

The company focus is on processing, selling and marketing high quality products with a continued dedication to building strong relationships with its customers by exceeding their expectations.

Vega Salmon always find the creative solutions to help customers meet their varied demands for delivery, service and high quality products, exceeding customer’s expectations.

Vega Salmon is organized in a way that best production flow is obtained. The assembly of machinery includes the latest technologies in producing smoked fish products. All contributing to securing a high and consistent product quality and meeting the customers’ requests.

Vega uses traditional production methods, for instance a stone kiln which gives the fish a unique smoked aroma. It also uses the well-known and acknowledged dry salting that gives the smoked products a firmer consistency.

Vega Salmon's private labels are unique and created by a designer with international experience and exposure. Presentation is vital part of selling, which is combined with the company's exceptional products and can be specifically designed or chosen from Vega Salmon's existing selection.

Vega Salmon takes quality and hygiene very seriously.

The company also offers a full range of MSC (Marine Stewardship Council) approved wild salmon products.

Vega Salmon takes quality and hygiene very seriously and has its own laboratory.

The company runs its production in accordance with international food safety standards, allowing to identify risks in the production process, pay close attention to those risks, document all measurements, observations and other details to ensure a vigilant approach to quality control.

These steps are taken to make sure Vega Salmon’s products are of the highest quality and to that end we keep up to date on whatever international standards of certification our customers require.

Vega Salmon was established in 2005. As of today Vega Salmon is a part of Vega Sea Group.

Vega Salmon A/S engages in producing and selling smoked fish products. It offers smoked, marinated, hot smoked, and fresh/frozen salmon; smoked and fresh/frozen trout; and smoked halibuts. The company sells its products through wholesalers, retailers, and catering services companies in Europe. Vega Salmon A/S was incorporated in 2004 and is based in Esbjerg, Denmark.

Vega Salmon GmbH is a German subsidiary of the Vega Salmon Group. The company specializes in the production and processing of fish, particularly salmon, trout, and halibut. The Group, whose products are primarily intended for the retail market, generates annual turnover amounting to approximately EUR 31 million at its headquarters in the Danish city of Esbjerg. In addition to its central facility in Denmark, Vega Salmon also runs another production plant in Sølvesbjerg, Sweden.
