The steering system that was developed by Lamberet is based on the latest generation of axles.

Lamberet Supplies Refrigerated Electric Trailer to Adri & Zoon

  (NETHERLANDS, 1/12/2024)

Lamberet has supplied the very first refrigerated electric trailer to the Netherlands. The trailer was made available for Adri & Zoon's for practical testing and, for the company, cooling is one of the greatest environmental challenges.

The refrigerated trailer contains an SAF generator on the axle, where the rotation of the wheel axle generates electricity. The electricity is then used for electrical cooling, so that no fuel needs to be used for this.

The trailer has been developed for the road cold chain and, it is also used in the maritime industry for their proven water-tightness. The composite panels are made up of a succession of insulating compartments lined with blocks of foam of a constant density of 35 kg/m3.

The model is specially built for deliveries in hard-to-access areas (shopping centres, awkward docking manoeuvres, etc.), it has a chassis with 3 axles, including 2 electro-hydraulic steering axles where the handling is equivalent to a low tonnage rigid.

The manoeuvrability of the SR2 SuperCity is exceptional. Its turning circle is less than that of a 21 pallet.

Unlike other trailers, this edition is equipped with an electric roller door. The door opens and closes faster, keeping the cold inside. The trailer also contains an air curtain and a two-part partition. Together they ensure optimal results.

To cope even better with the changing temperatures, the trailer is much better insulated.

The isothermal curtain is 100% pneumatic and autonomous, designed for both above- and below-zero temperatures. Equipped with dual control for opening/closing, it is easy and intuitive to use. With about 15 seconds to open or close, it makes the transported cargo secure.
