Marel Promotes Innovation Through Partnership at SPE 2013

  (ICELAND, 3/27/2013)

Marel welcomes visitors to Stand 6227, Hall 4 at the Seafood Processing Europe 2013 in Brussels from the 23 to 25 April, where a wide range of industry leading equipment will be on display, designed to meet today’s processing challenges in any modern salmon, whitefish or farmed whitefish plant.

This year, Marel is shining a spotlight on how its strong partnerships with the industry play a vital role in developing its equipment and solutions to enable processors and their customers to produce innovative end products. Marel is constantly pushing the bounds of innovation in response to its customers’ needs – and their customers’ needs.

The Marel stand will showcase:

Marel's whole salmon grading and distribution

Whole salmon grading and distribution
The highly innovative Salmon Grading and Distribution System is the most advanced and innovative ever developed by Marel. The system’s remarkably high level of automation ensures a continuous flow of fish from slaughter throughout processing to dispatch.

Salmon fillet processing
Marel demonstrates integrated fillet processing. The seamless flow of product from filleting through automatic trimming, portioning and robot loading of fixed weight portions into retail packs greatly improves yield and quality, while reducing processing time and labor costs.

Salmon slicing
Marel’s broad range of slicers meets the needs of any company, high or low capacity, for slicing fresh, frozen or smoked salmon. Marel’s range of slicers includes the I-Slice 3300 retail pack slicer, setting new standards in slicing.

Whitefish and farmed whitefish processing
All Marel whitefish processing equipment is designed to help processors maximise yield, throughput and quality, while reducing processing times and labour costs. Demonstrations on stand include a high accuracy trimming flowline, Standard Flowline, for white fish and farmed fish such as tilapia, as well as a fast and efficient packing solution for seabass and other farmed whitefish.
