Highlights of the 12th Salmon ShowHow

Yet another successful Salmon ShowHow has come to an end – this year with more visitors than ever before. A total of 226 customers from 28 countries as far away as New Zealand and Chile, gathered in Norresundby, Denmark on Wednesday 6 February for Marel's 12th Salmon ShowHow.
Staged in the 500 m2 showroom at the salmon division's facility in Norresundby, the event featured live demonstrations of Marel's latest equipment and systems for salmon processing, including a wide range of tried and proven solutions, underscoring Marel’s position as the leading supplier of systems and equipment to the global salmon industry.

One of the ShowHow’s highlights was the demonstration of a new and unique portioning and robot loading system that automates the process of portioning and loading of fixed-weight salmon portions into retail packs. The fully integrated solution enables a seamless flow of the salmon portions without manual handling.
Another highlight was the launch of the innovative retail pack slicer, I-slice 3300, which will set new standards in the production of retail-packed salmon portions. It slices and delivers fixed weight, or fixed number of slices on card boards or trays, at very high accuracy and virtually without manual handling.
