  (UNITED STATES, 11/15/2011)

Throughout 2011, Captain D’s CEO & President Phil Greifeld has continued to deliver a bold approach to reinvigorating his established brand, Captain D’s.

In yet another positive move for the 527-location quick service chain, Greifeld has announced the hiring of Laurie Lawhorne, Captain D’s new Chief Financial Officer (CFO).

“We were very methodical in identifying the ideal match for our CFO position, as the role is a critical piece to our continued success,” he said. “Laurie Lawhorne fits our ideals, especially with her depth of experience in food service and financing.”

Prior to joining Captain D’s, Lawhorne built an extensive and credible career in finance as, most recently, Vice President of Capital and Corporate Planning for Hudson Advisors, a global investment fund with USD 24 billion in assets under management.

Prior to Hudson Advisors, she spent 17 years with Yum Brands, in which she served as Director of Field Finance, responsible for leading a finance team in providing support to Pizza Hut’s 1,300 company-owned restaurants in 24 markets with USD1.3 billion in sales.

She also led Yum Brands as Director of Financial Planning and Analysis, where she had direct planning responsibilities for 12,000 international restaurants in over 100 countries.

Additionally, Lawhorne served as Manager of Tax for Taco Bell and held various financial roles at PepsiCo. She is a CPA and graduated from Texas A&M University.

At Captain D’s, Lawhorne is directly responsible for all financial functions and information technology.

“This year has been full of advancements. We have built a strong infrastructure that prepares us for 2012 and beyond,” Greifeld said.
