Located in Esbjerg, Denmark, Vega Salmon is a company mainly producing quality smoked fish.

Vega Salmon produces for the local market but the bulk of its production is sold to the markets in Europe as private label products. The company offers to its customers the opportunity of manufacturing special brands tailored to their specific needs. Vega Salmon uses dry salting and injection salting in its production process, which method is used depends on what the customer prefers.

To ensure a high standard of hygiene, all of Vega Salmon products are produced under strict internal controls and the HACCP system. In this way prevention, creation and documentation are brought into focus during the production at Vega.

Vega Salmon is organized in a way that the best production flow is obtained. This means that the company production is carried out with the highest possible efficiency.

The assembly of machinery includes the latest technologies for the production smoked fish products, contributing to secure a high and consistent product quality.

Vega uses traditional production methods, for instance a stone kiln which gives the fish a unique smoked aroma. Vega also uses the well-known and acknowledged dry salting that gives the smoked products a firmer consistency. All these elements combined create a very flexible production process.
