Healthy and Natural Canned Mackerel

The focal point of the products at Saeby Fish Canners Ltd. is the Scomber Scombrus mackerel, the gold of the North Atlantic. Saeby's products are famous for their high quality, they consist of pure raw materials, and they do not contain artificial additives.
 
The company differentiates through its unique handling and production, and because it only uses the North Atlantic, Scomber Scombrus mackerel in the production of its canned mackerel.
 
The factory location at Gyldendalsvej is distributed on 60.000 square meters and 42,6 hectares of land. The factory has a large space for receiving raw materials, freezing capacity, cold store facilities, and storage space. The factory also contains an area for processing of raw materials, production, packaging, and administration.

Saeby's assortment now consists of more than 35 different variants, including the mild flavours in oil and the spicy flavours with mustard, curry, and chili. The company newest member of the Saeby family are the two variants of mackerel mix. The green canned mackerel mix contains small pieces of mackerel in tomato with pickled peppers and cucumber, while the blue mackerel mix contains small pieces of mackerel in tomato with olives and tomato pieces.

Every year, Saeby produces 100–150 million cans. More than 85 percent of the company's export is to large international supermarket chains in Europe. These include international clients like Princes, Tesco, Morrisons, Marks & Spencer, Aldi, Lidl, Rema1000 and Bergendahls, each of which has special preferences regarding sauces, labels and packaging. Today Saeby Fish Canners Ltd. is the largest provider of canned Scomber Scombrus Mackerel in the EU, represented throughout Europe in 14 countries.

With 35 different variants in its product assortment, Saeby delivers private label canned mackerel to major supermarket chains all over the world.

Saeby's laboratory continuously develops new and exciting flavours. The company tests various combinations of spices, vegetables and oils, which become delicious variety of flavours. Recently, Saeby developed Indian and Mexican-inspired flavours with interesting, complex flavors adapted to the British consumers’ taste patterns.

Saeby Fish Canners Ltd.’s tailor-made sauces are rigorously tested to match quality and nutritional requirements from certified and approved wholesale suppliers. The company guarantees that both taste and texture will not vary from production to production. Canned mackerel from Saeby are clean and natural products, they do not have any artificial additives, dyes, or flavour enhancers.

 In addition to Saeby's well-known mackerel in tomato, the company offers over 30 different sauces. This includes 5 varieties of tomato, mustard, curry powder, chili or pure olive oil, rapeseed oil or sunflower oil, mackerel in teriyaki, and mackerel mix added different vegetables.

High quality, sustainability and traceability are all crucial to Saeby's private label customers. The company catchs the mackerel during the peak season, when it is of the finest quality, and thanks to its unique IQF freezing process, it can guarantee full traceability back to the date and location of the catch. Saeby Fish Canners Ltd.’s biggest markets are Great Britain, Sweden, Germany, the Netherlands, Belgium and the rest of Europe, but the company also has capabilities to export to every market worldwide. Saeby's factory is located on Gyldendalsvej in Saeby, Northern Jutland, Denmark.

Saeby Fish Canners Ltd. does not use any chemicals in the production of mackerel. Instead of caustic soda and hydrochloric acid, Saeby is the only producer in the world that uses regular hot water to loosen the skin, which is only possible because the fish, after catch, is frozen individually instead of in blocks.
