Until September, frozen poulp squid imports increased by 7%

In September 2023, 1,696 tons of frozen poulp squid were imported, a 14% increase compared to 1,482 tons in the same period last year.
Cumulative import volume was 16,916 tons, up 7% from the previous year's 15,870 tons, and accounted for 2.4% of the total seafood import volume of 714,911 tons.
As of September, 11,544 tons, or 68% of the total, of frozen poulp squid were imported from China, 3,550 tons from Vietnam, 714 tons from Thailand, and 628 tons from Indonesia.
The import price of frozen poulp squid by country is the highest for the Thailand origin at USD 8.36/kg, the lowest from Vietnam at USD 7.44/kg, Malaysia USD 7.15/kg, Indonesia USD 6.36/kg, China USD 5.78/kg, and Bangladesh at USD 4.67/kg. was formed.
The import amount in September was USD 9.82 million, a 5% decrease from the previous year's USD 10.29 million, and the cumulative import amount was USD 106.36 million, a 4% decrease from USD 110.95 million in the same period last year.
