Arsenic found in cod products at a fishermen's collective plant in Kamchatka

Primorsky interregional department of Rosselkhoznadzor issued a warning about the inadmissibility of violating mandatory requirements in the manufacture of fish products to the fishing collective farm named V.I. Lenin.

The Primorsky Interregional Directorate of Rosselkhoznadzor received information from the Rosselkhoznadzor Directorate for the Bryansk Region, Smolensk and Kaluga Regions that, as part of food monitoring of the quality and safety of food products in the Kaluga Region, a sample was taken from a batch of cod produced by an enterprise from Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky - a fishing collective farm.

According to the test protocol conducted by the Federal State Budgetary Institution "NTsBRP", the product sample did not meet the established standard for the permissible content of arsenic by 2.7 times (the indicator is 13.6 mg/k, while the standard is not more than 5 mg/k). This is a violation of the requirements of the technical regulations of the Customs Union "On the safety of food products" and "On the safety of fish and fish products."
A letter was sent to the manufacturer about the non-admission of products to circulation.
On July 5, the Primorsky Interregional Department of the Rosselkhoznadzor issued a warning to the fishing collective farm about the inadmissibility of violating mandatory requirements in the manufacture of fish products.
Recall that earlier a violation of the standard for arsenic content was established in the cod liver of another manufacturer from the Kamchatka Territory - Rosrybflot LLC.
