KATWIJK/BREMERHAVEN - The BX 792 'Jan Maria' will arrive in its home port of Bremerhaven next Monday. The brand new ship left the Tersan shipyard in Istanbul at the end of last week, exactly one year after the festive launch, and had already passed through the Strait of Gibraltar last Wednesday.
In Bremerhaven, a week and a half will be allocated to equipping the trawler and preparing it for fishing. There will be a naming ceremony in Bemerhaven in mid-April, but before then the BX 792 will have already completed a few fishing trips.
The 88 meter long and 18.3 meter wide 'Jan Maria' comes into service for the Nordbank Hochseefischerei GmbH, a German subsidiary of the Katwijkse (More Info)
