This Organization was formed Producers in July 1986 and its scope covers the province of Pontevedra. It includes vessels in different types of fishing, devote theiractivities to catch fresh fish.
The main species caught by the fleet is owned by producer organization are: hake, megrim, monkfish, pomfret, Swordfish, Sardines and Mackerel. The boats fishing OPPF-4 in several fisheries: EU waters, international waters of the AtlanticSpanish coast.
Producers Organization annually performs catch plans, in order to adjust supply tomarket needs, so as to rationalize the exercise of fish on their boats. In addition, the OPPF-4 fixed prices in some species catches for stability in the prices of the sameand, in the case, removal mechanisms applied under EU regulations
