Foundation Chinquihue is a private non-profit aimed at the promotion and development of the artisanal fisheries sub-sector and the aquaculture sector small-scale, dedicated to improving the socioeconomic situation of artisanal fishermen in the region of Los Lagos and other parts of the country through marketing activities, scientific and technological research, recovery of benthic resources, education, training and promoting actions to protect and care for the environment.
The Chinquihue Foundation team consists of 60 people, including administrative, technical and professionals working to support regional development strategy the artisanal fisheries sector.
