Dias Aquaculture forms strategic alliance with Danish Biomar Group, according to company's press release. The alliance refers to fish feed supplies from Biomar with a total value of about €30m pa. Also, Biomar has agreed to acquire a 25.2% stake in Zoonomi, Dia’s 51%-owned fish feed factory, for a total consideration of €2.5m
The deal also includes the development of R&D activities regarding the production of new fish feeds and the use of other raw materials so as to reduce feed costs and speed up the fish production cycle. Lastly, the two groups agreed to exploit business opportunities that may come up in the Mediterranean aquaculture market.
