Destructive Fishing Watch (DFW) Indonesia is a national institution in the form of an alliance / open consortium that brings together institutions and individuals concerned about destructive fishing practices (DF) or non-environmentally friendly fishing activities (PITRAL), poverty , climate adaptation to change and natural disasters in Indonesia. The spirit of this alliance is built to eliminate DF practices holistically and promote fishing gear patterns that impact sustainable fishing.
DFW Indonesia declared its establishment in Makassar, South Sulawesi on its main coral reef day. Also, on Friday, October 27, 2000, based on the mandate of the established statute. Subsequently, DFW-Indonesia was formalized to become a very large one. General indication of the act of incorporation by notarial deed No. 2 of October 19, 2003.
