European experts present their work on integrate multi-tropic aquaculture

In its final implementation phase, the INTEGRATE project “Integrated Aquaculture, an eco-innovative solution for sustainability in the Atlantic Area”, will host a virtual event on June 18th in order to present its results.
El Puerto de Sta. Maria - Integrated multi-trophic aquaculture (IMTA) is supported by the main European Union policies; however, there are still many social, administrative and legal limitations that do not allow full development of these production systems. In order to overcome these challenges, a group of European experts have been working for almost three years in the INTEGRATE project to strengthen he collaboration networks between the scientific community, industry and administration, in order to add value to the knowledge acquired and turn this innovative sustainable aquaculture solution into a realty in Europe.
