OpenCor is a Spanish chain of convenience stores companies belonging to the group El Corte Ingles, whose president is Isidoro Álvarez Álvarez. It is a new concept store chain open 365 days a year for 18 hours, designed to meet the needs of every day, buying last minute or forgotten.
The stores have sections Opencor staples (food, cleaning, and the like) and leisure items (records, movies, video games, etc..), Gifts and other products. Opencor was inaugurated on 18 May 2000 through its center in Madrid Majadahonda.
Opencor existing stores in service stations are called Repsol Repsol-Opencor and managed by Gespevesa society, one whose ownership is split evenly between the El Corte Ingles and Repsol.
