The Vandar Hatcheries "Huymar" and "Tabasca" are considered the most modern in Ecuador. With a combined production of 150 million of postlarvae per month, using a closed cycle and selection techniques, the shrimp hatcheries develop their own broodstock in order to guarantee nauplii and postlarvae production, therefore getting a stable and continuous supply without depleting wild stocks.
Cachugran and Langua are the most important of Vandar Corporation farms for shrimp cultivation. Fully committed with the ecological preservation of the mangrove, its 2,600 hectares represent one of the most important sources of production in the country.To develop a high quality process, the Vandar Corporation has a modern fleet for ground and maritime transportation, which is equipped to guarantee the product's optimal quiality.
To obtain a high quality shrimp, the Corporation has its own feed mill. This modern plant has a capacity of 1,600 Ton. per month.(the feed produced, by means of a formula without chemical)
