In 2014 Ristic GmbH introduced its Clean Shrimp Initiative, thus increasing its commitment to the development of socially and environmentally sustainable structures in the sourcing of shrimp. The initiative focuses on improvement projects aimed at viable shrimp production.

To this end, different aquaculture and fishery standards are applied according to the demands of the market. The key is to achieve gradual improvements.

The establishment of stable procurement structures and close relationships with producers locally are important aspects of the corporate strategy at Ristic GmbH. The investments our family-run company has made over a number of decades in strong, reliable procurement partners worldwide has proved worthwhile. This extensive network is an important element in the Clean Shrimp Initiative, since local procurement partners not only conduct controls, but are also actively involved.
