Monday, May 20, 2024, 01:00 (GMT + 9)

With the theme “From Production to Consumption”, the 13th edition of Aquishow Brasil will be held between the 21st and 23rd of May, from 9am to 6pm, at the Advanced Center for Research and Development of Continental Fish, of the Fisheries Institute (IP -Apta), an agency of the Secretariat of Agriculture and Supply of the State of São Paulo, located in São José do Rio Preto/SP.

Aquishow stands out as one of the main Aquaculture events in the country and in Latin America, integrating segments of the production chain. Therefore, the theme of this edition proposes an immersive approach with narratives that range from the production to the consumption of fish.

The event, recognized nationally and internationally as the epicenter of the launches of the main trends and innovations for Aquaculture, is a reference in the sector due to the debates, exchange of experiences and, mainly, the generation of business. Last year, more than R$160 million (USD1.92 M) was generated during the three days of activities.

According to Marilsa Fernandes, creator and organizer of Aquishow Brasil, the complete program and even the opening of online sales will be announced soon. The event will have a megastructure with more than six thousand square meters of built area, bringing together the main brands in the sector and more than seven thousand visitors, from different Brazilian regions and even abroad.

The pavilion will have a main auditorium for discussion panels, meeting rooms and a food court. The rooms that will be made available for exhibitors to present launches, products and services, are being called by the event organizers the Space for good ideas and practices in Brazilian aquaculture. Exhibitors will also have at their disposal, for demonstrations and experiences, a five thousand square meter dam with net tanks and a showroom, measuring more than one hectare, with three types of ponds: excavated, lined and earthen, which are part of the structure of the Fisheries Institute.

“It will be a unique opportunity to promote business and present the most modern technologies and trends in Aquaculture. The main focus of Aquishow Brasil is tilapiculture. However, to strengthen a 360-degree look at the socioeconomic development of the sector, we count on the representation of other production chains, such as frogs, alligators, molluscs and native fish”, said Marilsa.

Awards

The 5th edition of the Aquaculture Innovation Award will be held during Aquishow 2024. The award aims to recognize initiatives capable of bringing about real transformations throughout the entire Aquaculture production chain, in addition to bringing the production sector closer to the research area. Currently, there are four categories: Academia (universities and research institutes); Production (fish cultivation); Processing/Final product (companies that produce products used throughout the chain) and Sustainability (sustainable public or private projects and initiatives). In total, 25 initiatives were registered.
