The development of aquaculture is important in every region of the Russian Federation

The joint efforts of the state at the federal and regional levels create a comfortable environment for the development of commercial aquaculture. The effectiveness of state support measures and plans for cooperation in 2024 were discussed at a meeting by Deputy Head of Rosrybolovstvo Vasily Sokolov with Deputy Prime Minister of the Government of the Republic of Bashkortostan - Minister of Agriculture of the Republic Ilshat Fazrakhmanov. The meeting took place as part of a working trip of the deputy head of Rosrybolovstvo to Ufa.

The parties discussed the production indicators of aquaculture enterprises and growth prospects, taking into account support measures from the government of Bashkortostan - compensation of 40% of the costs of purchasing fish seeding material and feed. Such programs at the regional level create additional investment attractiveness for business.

In 2023, about 1.2 thousand tons of commercial aquaculture objects were grown in the Republic of Bashkortostan, including: 654 tons of carp, 400 tons of trout and 80 tons of sturgeon.

There are also state support measures at the federal level - these are, first of all, preferential loans that apply to all main stages of the production chain: from the purchase of feed and fish seeding material to the processing of the resulting products.

During the meeting held in Ufa, a decision was made to hold the first meeting of the Volga-Kama Scientific and Fisheries Council in the Republic of Bashkortostan in the fall of this year.
