Recently, Guangdong Yuehang Dredging Engineering Co., Ltd. has launched deep-sea sowing and breeding. It is expected to put 3 million seeds of clams on the 57-hectare deep-sea aquaculture farm, actively develop the deep blue ocean economy, and continuously improve the quality of conch products on the dining table of the public.

This farm is located on the southwest side of Xifanshi, Hailing Island. The main species are clams. The fishermen will transport the clams back to the fishing boat, and then the conch seedlings will be transported to the deep sea for release.

The on-site staff told reporters that this seedling investment is expected to invest a total of 5 million yuan in the early stage.

Breeder Huang Die: "In order to expand development, our company actively responded to the call of the Municipal Party Committee and the Municipal Government, developed the deep blue ocean economy, and carried out deep seabed aquaculture. The breeding area is 57 hectares, and the seedlings are about 3 million seeds. It takes about 15 to 20 days to put the seedlings, and the production cycle is about 4-5 months."

Bafei clams, that is six-year-old, have strict requirements on living conditions, and the water quality of the breeding grounds should be relatively clean and free of pollution. The fishermen at the scene told reporters that this time the clams will be cultured in deep sea, and the water depth of the sea area of the farm is 23 meters.

Due to the high exchange rate and low pollutant content of deep sea water, the impact of various pollution on conch will be greatly reduced, which is conducive to the production of healthy and clean seafood that meets the needs of consumers.

Breeder Huang Die: "Compared with shallow water aquaculture, deep-water aquaculture has several advantages. First, the survival rate is higher, the growth rate is faster, and the economic benefits are better; the second is that the water quality of deep-sea culture is better, which provides more A good growing environment has a shorter growth cycle, which can increase the harvest to a greater extent and provide better seafood to the citizens."
