Consortium Led by OXZO to Build Oxygen Generators for Improved Fish Welfare
NORWAY
Thursday, December 12, 2024, 02:10 (GMT + 9)
OXZO Technologies Norway AS has joined forces with Oxymat, Schneider Electric, Langset Mek, and Elmo to design and construct an initial series of seven advanced oxygen generator tanks.
These units, tailored to meet the stringent demands of aquaculture facilities, emphasize uptime reliability, remote control, and sophisticated management systems, the companies announced in a press release.
Localized Production and Proven Expertise
The project underscores OXZO’s commitment to local production in Norway, leveraging its expertise in remote-controlled oxygen plants. OXYMAT, a subsidiary of the Atlas Copco Group, will contribute its renowned PSA (Pressure Swing Adsorption) technology, which delivers exceptional operational efficiency and high-purity oxygen.
“We are collaborating with Schneider Electric to develop robust, future-proof solutions for the aquaculture sector,” said Svein Arve Tronsgård, Business Developer at OXZO Technologies Norway AS.
Technical contributions include workshop services from Langset Mek and marine electrical systems expertise from Elmo. Schneider Electric will enhance the facilities with state-of-the-art industrial automation and electrical distribution technologies.
Modular and Versatile Design
The oxygen generator tanks are designed for flexibility and can be integrated into various aquaculture setups, such as cages requiring supplemental oxygen, semi-closed or closed marine systems, and land-based facilities. Their modular design supports both standalone operations and seamless integration with cryogenic oxygen storage systems.
“Together, we are delivering solutions that enhance fish welfare and promote sustainability in aquaculture,”Tronsgård added.
