Russian fishermen have caught over 4.6 million tons

Russian fishermen have indeed surpassed this mark in their annual catch. This significant achievement highlights the country's robust fishing industry and its substantial contribution to the global seafood market.
According to the industry monitoring system of the Federal Agency for Fisheries (Federal Service for Fisheries and Oceanography), the catch of aquatic bioresources by all Russian users amounted to 4,658.9 thousand tons.
Far Eastern basin: 3555.7 thousand tons
of Pollock - 1867.2 thousand tons (+18.9 thousand tons to the level of 2023); cod – 102.4 thousand tons; Pacific herring – 405.1 thousand tons (+39.9 thousand tons compared to 2023); Far Eastern flounder – 59.5 thousand tons; Iwashi sardines (in the EEZ of the Russian Federation) – 551.7 thousand tons (+42 thousand tons compared to 2023)
Northern basin: 422.1 thousand tons
Cod - 213 thousand tons; haddock - 59.6 thousand tons; capelin - 51.7 thousand tons (+ 28.6 thousand tons compared to the 2023 level)
Western basin: 70.2 thousand tons;
Sprat – 36.5 thousand tons; Baltic herring – 22.9 thousand tons
Azov-Black Sea basin: 31.8 thousand tons
of anchovy - 11.8 thousand tons (+1.7 thousand tons to the level of 2023)
Volga-Caspian basin: 72.6 thousand tons
Sprat – 22.9 thousand tons; ordinary fish species – 19.7 thousand tons

In the exclusive economic zones of foreign states, conventional areas and the open part of the World Ocean, the Russian fleet has extracted more than 464.17 thousand tons of aquatic bioresources.
As of December 7, there were 34 vessels approaching the seaports of Primorsky Krai with 41,931 thousand tons of fish products on board. Of these, 2 vessels were carrying salmon (0.827 thousand tons). Fresh-frozen catches of pollock (18,332 thousand tons), herring (12,240 thousand tons) and cod (1,206 thousand tons).
Products from fresh catches are supplied to the domestic market on a priority basis.
