Russian fishermen's catch since the beginning of the year exceeded 3.8 million tons

According to the industry monitoring system of the Federal Agency for Fisheries (Federal Service for Fisheries and Oceanography), the catch of aquatic bioresources by all Russian users by October 1, 2024 amounted to 3.87 million tons.

Far Eastern basin: more than 2.9 million tons 

Pollock – 1.7 million tons; cod – 92.4 thousand tons; Pacific herring – more than 329.3 thousand tons (+ 47.6 thousand tons compared to 2023); flounder – 54.8 thousand tons; Iwashi sardine – 278.9 thousand tons.

Northern basin: 367.2 thousand tons

Cod – 191.2 thousand tons; haddock – 46 thousand tons; capelin – 51.7 thousand tons (+ 28.6 thousand tons compared to the 2023 level).

Western basin: 56.1 thousand tons

Sprat – 30.5 thousand tons; Baltic herring – 18.8 thousand tons.

Azov-Black Sea basin: 25.1 thousand tons

Anchovy - 9.2 thousand tons (+ 0.7 thousand tons to the 2023 level).

Volga-Caspian basin: 52.6 thousand tons;

Sprat – 20.7 thousand tons; ordinary fish species – 11.4 thousand tons.

In the exclusive economic zones of foreign states, conventional areas and the open part of the World Ocean, the Russian fleet produced more than 385.3 thousand tons, including more than 214 thousand tons produced in the zones of foreign states (+16.2% compared to the 2023 figure).

As of September 30, the total occupancy rate of refrigerators for storing fish products in Primorsky Krai was 50%. There are 57,568 thousand tons of fresh-frozen fish products in fish terminals. There are 33 vessels with 25,071 thousand tons of fish products on board approaching the seaports of Primorsky Krai. Of these, 7 vessels (10,117 thousand tons) are carrying salmon.
