From 12th to 14th May, IFFO will gather its Members in Madrid, Spain

Registrations are open and the detailed agenda is available here. Scientists and industry experts will explore the latest developments in feed ingredients, feed formulations, and the growing strategic role of marine ingredients. They will provide updates on agri-commodities, fish oil, fishmeal, insect-based ingredients, and omega-3, with country and regional insights. A range of side events will address precision nutrition and certification programmes.

The first day will focus on market supply, covering Agri-commodities markets (Rabobank), insects for feed and food (IPIFF), microplastics (Aquaspin), and the latest on IMO (International Maritime Organisation) Regulations. Discussion (only accessible to IFFO's Premium and Producer Members) will also include IFFO’s global overview on marine ingredient supply as well as regional/country updates from Europe, USA, Chile and Peru.

The second day will focus on market demand drivers, exploring animal farming demand for marine ingredients. FAO’s Audun Lem will set the scene with a macro perspective of the challenges and opportunities facing the seafood industry, followed by an overview of aquaculture trends (Kontali Analyse AS), and then insights from a feed producer (De Heus Animal Nutrition B.V) and a feed formulation expert (Wittaya Aqua). Industry updates will also be provided by IFFO on China, petfood (C&D Foods), fish oil (Marex Global Sourcing), and ending with a focus on omega-3 markets (GOED) and omega-3 fish nutrition (Nofima).

This meeting and the side events are only open to IFFO Members. Registrations are open until 2nd May 2025. More information is available at: https://www.iffo.com/members-5meeting-2025
