A new trawler was launched in St. Petersburg. The fishing vessel “Captain Abakumov” is the sixth of a series of ten trawlers, which is being built by the Severnaya Verf shipyard on behalf of the Norebo holding company as part of the investment quota program.

The modern processor trawler is designed for fishing by bottom and pelagic trawls in the North Atlantic and the Far East.
The multifunctional processing plant on board is capable of producing up to 150 tons of products per day, including frozen fillets, canned cod liver, and fishmeal.

To date, the technical readiness of the vessel is 36%, work continues.
The new trawler is named in honor of Anatoly Grigorievich Abakumov, a sea captain, Hero of Socialist Labor, participant in the Great Patriotic War.
