Overall imports of Norwegian seafood have declined…

By September 2022, the imports from Norway declined around 10% in volume.
The import volume until September was 63,924 tons, which was 10% lower than the 70,849 tons until September 2021, accounting for 7% of the total import volume of 889,578 tons.

The main imported fishes from Norway are frozen mackerel, fresh salmon, frozen red rockfish and frozen capelin roe.
32,219 tons of frozen mackerel were imported, 13% less than the 36,854 tons in the same period of 2021, and fresh salmon reached 18,999 tons, 21,162 the previous year, a reduction of 10% with respect to volume.

By September, the import value of Norwegian seafood was USD 461.2 million, which is 9% higher than USD 423.75 million in 2021.
The average import price is USD 7.21/kg, USD 5.98/kg in 2021 Compared to that, it increased by 20.56%.
The import unit price was USD 2.48/kg for frozen mackerel, USD 12.12/kg for fresh salmon, and USD 62.58/kg for live king crab.
