The Artisanal Fishing Landing of Cancas, located in the district of Canoas de Punta Sal, in the province of Contralmirante Villar in the Tumbes region, was placed at the service of the artisanal fishermen of this locality.

This port infrastructure, stated the Minister of Production, Jorge Luis Prado Palomino, seeks to improve the Services of the Artisanal Fishing Landing, and was carried out with an investment of more than S/ 27 million (U$D 6.8M), which will benefit 439 artisanal fishermen from area.
This modern infrastructure, he explained, has a 65-meter-long bridge, a 78-meter-long headland and a simultaneous landing capacity for up to eight vessels. It also has a low platform of 12.70 meters in length.

Likewise, the built area of the Infrastructure on land has 3,158.64 m2 (roofed area of 1,797.17 m2 and free area of 1,361.47 m2) and its previous tasks area has a space of 218.36 m2, for washing, gutting and transfer operations of the means.
The National Fund for Fisheries Development (Fondepes), commented that Sanipes delivered the sanitary authorization. In addition to the head of Produce, the event was attended by the head of the institution, Antonio Lambruschini Canessa, as well as authorities and fishermen from the area.
