Speaking of Yangjiang oysters, we have to mention Chengcun Town, Yangxi County. The coastal villagers in this town basically live on oysters and are the main producing area of Yangjiang oysters. From "seeing the sky to eat" to "scientific breeding", oyster farmers in Chengcun continue to summarize experience and explore innovation; under the guidance of relevant departments, a number of relevant economic cooperation organizations have been established locally, forming seedling production, breeding, processing. , circulation and other supporting industrial chain and industry service system. The characteristic industry of Yangjiang oysters has played a positive role in increasing the income of local farmers, enhancing fishery efficiency and economic development. Earlier, Yangxi Chengcun Oyster Industrial Park was selected as a provincial agricultural industrial park, bringing new opportunities for the upgrading and development of the entire industrial chain of Chengcun Oyster.

Advanced breeding technology and mature industry

Omi oysters, commonly known as oysters, are named after the most prosperous growth in the estuary where fresh water enters the sea. It is one of the traditional cultured shellfish in Yangjiang City. Yangjiang oysters have a breeding history of more than 200 years. The main production area is surrounded by mountains and seas, and the environment is excellent. From east to west, Yangdong County (Dagou Town, Yashao Town), High-tech Zone (Pinggang Town), sea There are four large-scale oyster breeding bases in Ling District (Hailing Town) and Yangxi County (Chengcun Town). From the past ground sowing and piling culture to the current standardized grid hanging culture, Yangjiang continues to innovate the oyster raising model. At present, Yangjiang's oyster farming area exceeds 5,000 hectares and the output exceeds 400,000 tons.

The earliest place where artificial oyster farming was carried out in Yangjiang City was Chengcun Town, Yangxi County. The villagers of Hongmushan Village, Haoshan Village, Genzhushan Village and other coastal villages have been relying on oyster farming for a living. At first, they threw stones into the sea and naturally attached seedlings, which was the so-called "natural seedling method with stones". Later, the trellis-type hanging post breeding method was used. The scaffolding-type hanging column breeding method has a simple process, the oysters are easy to fatten quickly, the yield per mu is increased, and the breeding cycle is shortened by one year. However, this method not only increases the bearing weight of the oyster trellis, but also inconvenient to operate because the cement column is heavier.

In 1997, Chengcun oyster farmers began to use plastic wire ropes to stick oyster scaffolding slings. This farming method is to first detach the oyster seedlings from the attachment base, and then imitate the characteristics of natural oysters that are fixed with their left shells. The left shell of the oyster seedlings is the sticking point, and the oyster seedlings are attached to a 2m long plastic silk rope with the seedling rope in pairs. There are 8 to 10 sticking points on the plastic silk rope. When sticking, the shell height of the oyster seedlings is perpendicular to the seedling rope. 8~10 hours after sticking, when the cement is dry and hard, move the oyster skewers to the oyster trellis in the breeding area for hanging. This method is simple in process, easy and convenient to operate, and greatly improves the hanging density of oysters, reduces the weight of oyster scaffolding, and can also use the wind and wave resistance of the rope to increase the feeding space of oysters and prolong the feeding time of oysters. , This hanging mode makes the hanging oysters easier to grow and fatten quickly, and the growth size is uniform, which achieves the best effect of putting seedlings and putting into production in the same year. like.

Through years of technological improvement and innovation, the output of Yangjiang oysters has been greatly increased, and oyster farming has gradually become a local pillar industry. In 2002, Hailing Bay successfully established a national demonstration area for the standardization of hanging oysters and at the same time compiled a comprehensive standard for hanging oysters in the Omi River.

Speed up the construction of Chengcun Oyster Industrial Park

Yangjiang oysters are the most famous ones produced in Chengcun Town, Yangxi County, especially in the ocean border area. They are located in the "bag"-shaped bays of Chengcun, Zhigong and Xitou towns. The wind is calm, the tide is smooth, the water quality is excellent, the salt and fresh water meet, the bait is rich, and there are large natural mangroves.

According to statistics, in 2020, the sea area for oyster cultivation in the Yangbianhai Breeding Zone in Chengcun Town will reach 42,000 mu, with an output of 72,000 tons of fresh oysters and an output value of 460 million yuan. There are more than 12,000 oyster-raising practitioners in the town. At present, the output of oysters accounts for 54% of the whole city in Yangjiang, ranking first in the city. "Chengcun oyster" is plump and slag in the mouth. It is a product certified by the National Geographical Indication, so it is famous at home and abroad. The number of oyster farmers in the city is nearly 30,000, and the number of people in other industries has reached more than 100,000.

At present, Yangjiang is stepping up the construction of Chengcun Oyster Modern Agricultural Industrial Park in Yangxi County, guided by the implementation of innovation and rural revitalization strategy, to improve the quality, efficiency and competitiveness of Chengcun Oyster industry, and to build a mechanism for farmers to share the benefits of secondary and tertiary industries. The central task is to create an oyster industry cluster driven by leading industrialized enterprises and gathering modern production factors in accordance with the ideas of regionalization of layout, large-scale aquaculture, standardization of production, branding of business operations, and networked sales, and to develop a high-efficiency, product-safe, A resource-saving and environment-friendly fishery modernization approach. As of 2020, the area of Chengcun oyster cultivation within the industrial park has reached 38,000 mu, and the output value has exceeded 420 million yuan. The industrial park has more than 10 registered trademarks for Chengcun oyster products.

According to reports, Chengcun Oyster Industrial Park aims to increase the income of poverty alleviation and development assistance objects, and arranges industrial park funds of 5 million yuan to build a Chengcun oyster breeding base and a Chengcun oyster processing base. "Household" model, recruiting poor households to work in the base, helping poor households to increase their income and get rid of poverty. Poor households work in breeding bases and processing bases, with a minimum wage of 24,000 yuan per person per year. In addition, they can also participate in dividends. The 5 million yuan invested in the industrial park will form assets in the Chengcun oyster breeding and processing project, which will be converted into shares and quantified to poor villages and poor households in Chengcun Town. The shares of each village are determined according to the proportion of poor households (every year Counting the list of poverty-stricken households for rolling support), focusing on supporting the poor households that have been registered and registered, and the income distribution is "guaranteed income + floating income". The annual guaranteed minimum dividend amount reaches more than 10% of the financial subsidy funds for the joint agriculture and leading farmers, and the project support period is 10 years. . Li Fengxin, a villager in Chengcun Township, has been engaged in self-sufficiency in local agricultural production. A sudden car accident put Li Fengxin's family into trouble. After the accident, Li Fengxin was unable to work as before, and his income plummeted, and he gradually fell into the quagmire of poverty. In 2020, Li Fengxintong found a job in the project of joint farming and leading agriculture in Chengcun Ho Modern Agricultural Industrial Park. "The salary is at least 3,000 per month, and starting from 2020, there will be more than 10,000 dividends every year." Li Fengxin said happily.

In addition, Chengcun Oyster Industrial Park also relies on Hongguang Village Oyster Association to hold oyster raising technical training in Hongguang Village, Chengcun Town, to improve oyster farmers' disease prevention knowledge, market transaction information and management skills.

Make the "Yangjiang Oyster" brand bigger and stronger

The oysters produced in Yangjiang are full of flesh, rich in nutrients, delicious and crispy without residue. Every 100 grams of oyster meat contains 11.3 grams of protein and 2.3 grams of fat.
