90% of Frozen pollock milt's imports come from Russia
In December 2021, a total of 1,143,471 tons of seafood were imported, and 7,227 tons, or 0.63% of frozen pollock milt, were imported.
That is lower than the proportion of 0.85% in 2020.
Until December 2020, 1,042,898 tons of frozen seafood were imported, of which 8,866 tons were imported frozen pollock milt.
In December 2021, frozen pollock milt imports were 0 tons, down 100% from 220 tons a year earlier, and cumulative imports in December decreased 18% from 8,866 tons a year earlier.
The average import volume in December from 2016 to 2021 was 73 tons, showing a 17% decrease compared to the average import volume in 2021 and the average six-year import volume of 8,763 tons.
The countries exporting frozen pollock milt are Russia and the United States, and 90% (6,530 tons) of the total imports were imported from Russia and 10% (697 tons) from the United States.
The import unit price was USD 2.10/kg for the product of Russian origin product and USD 2.55/kg for the United States origin
In December 2021, frozen pollock milt was not imported.
The cumulative imports in December was USD 15.51 million, down 0.3% from USD 15.57 million a year earlier, and the cumulative average imports unit price in December was USD 2.15/kg, up 22% from USD 1.76/kg a year earlier.
