The Government of the Russian Federation must submit proposals by August 1, 2024.
Instructed:
- consider the possibility of reducing the rates of export customs duties on certain types of fish products, provided that such products are sold in the required volume on the domestic market.
In October 2023, flexible export duties were introduced on certain goods, including fish, to meet domestic market demand. The amount of duties is set taking into account the ruble exchange rate. For many companies, export duties have become burdensome, and some projects have been suspended.
