Russian Catch Surpasses 4.2 Million Tons

According to data from the Federal Agency for Fisheries' industry monitoring system, Russia's aquatic bioresource harvest has exceeded 4.2 million tons across all regions.

Catch by Region:

• Far Eastern Basin: Over 3.2 million tons (3,209.7 thousand tons)

  • Pollock: 1.77 million tons (+2.3 thousand tons compared to 2023)
  • Cod: 95.9 thousand tons
  • Pacific herring: 343.7 thousand tons (+50.2 thousand tons year-over-year)
  • Far Eastern flounder: 57.2 thousand tons
  • Iwashi sardines (Russian EEZ): 402.4 thousand tons (+60.8 thousand tons from 2023 levels)

• Northern Basin: 388.4 thousand tons

  • Cod: 198.9 thousand tons
  • Haddock: 50.1 thousand tons
  • Capelin: 51.7 thousand tons (+28.6 thousand tons year-over-year)

• Western Basin: 61.3 thousand tons

  • Sprat: 32.4 thousand tons
  • Baltic herring: 20.5 thousand tons

• Azov-Black Sea Basin: 26.8 thousand tons

  • Anchovy: 9.3 thousand tons (+0.8 thousand tons compared to 2023)

• Volga-Caspian Basin: 59.7 thousand tons

  • Sprat: 20.8 thousand tons
  • Various fish species: 14.5 thousand tons

• Foreign EEZs and International Waters: Russian fleet catch totaled 425.95 thousand tons.

As of October 26, 32 vessels are en route to Primorsky Krai seaports, carrying a total of 21.7 thousand tons of fish products. Of these, 1,529 tons are salmon, with additional fresh-frozen catches including 1,243 tons of pollock, 193 tons of herring, and 1,064 tons of cod.

Fresh catches are prioritized for the domestic market.
